Susan Bee

SUSAN BEE is a painter, editor, teacher, and book artist, living in New York City. She has had six solo shows at A.I.R. Gallery, and has published many artist’s books. Bee is the co-editor with Mira Schor of “M/E/A/N/I/N/G: An Anthology of Artist’s Writings, Theory, and Criticism,” published by Duke University Press in 2000. She is also the coeditor of M/E/A/N/I/N/G Online. She has a BA from Barnard College and a MA in Art from Hunter College. Her artwork is in many public and private collections including the Getty Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, Yale University, New York Public Library, and Harvard University Library. Her work has been reviewed in Art in AmericaArt NewsThe Forward,The New York TimesArt Papers, and The Brooklyn Rail. She teaches at the School of Visual Arts and the University of Pennsylvania.
